My Sister and Kids

It's been a while since my last blog.  Aside from work, I've been busy with my kids.  Whenever my daughter is asleep, I play with my son.  I make sure the connection between the two of us isn't lost, even though my Mom takes care of him most of the time.

Anyway, so it's graduation month.  My sister is a candidate for graduation in Elementary.  She's graduating with honors (4th honorable mention, to be exact).  I remember when the results came out, she was sort of complaining she couldn't make herself go up (place higher than her rank).  I told her to shut up because being in the Top 10 is already making our parents and thankful.  I graduated as 7th honorable mention in elementary and still made them happy.  I told her to be happy with what she gained and to maintain her enthusiasm in her studies.

Next, my son is really hyperactive.  He moves a lot, runs a lot.  He also has a lot of bruises, scars, and wounds because of constant running.  One time, he fell from the chair and his chin bleed.  Then next week after his wound healed, he tripped outside the gazebo, hitting the edge of concrete ladder.  His right eyebrow bleed.  This time, the wound is bigger than the chin, not to mention, more blood.  My mom and I applied first aid, then they went to see the doctor later, to ask for an antibiotic.  He was fine, though, later that day and in the afternoon, he's running again, as if nothing happened in the morning.  But he kept on saying "du-go" all week.  Now, the wound is almost healed.

One thing that amazes me (as well as other my son encounters) about my son is that at his very young age (less than 2 years old), he can talk a lot of words now.  Although still baby words, we can communicate well with him.  Just like when he says "Tv, watch, bubum!", we know that he wants to watch Cars (his favorite movie).

My daughter, on the other hand, is getting heavier. hehehe...She's so behave.  If she's in the mood, I can just leave her in bed without hearing her cry.  She also smiles a lot, and sleeps soundly.  But I can't leave her in bed for so long anymore.  She may fall now because she can rotate herself.  There are times that I leave her for two minutes if I have to do something important, and then when I get back, she already moved 45º.  I fear that if I was away any longer, she might turn 90º and fall.

I believe that my daughter can recognize people now.  There are times that when my mom holds her, she would smile a lot.  Then if I come to get her, she would flap her arms, as if excited that I'm getting her.  And there are also times that when my father carries her, she would stare at him, or look back at him.  She's not seeing much of my father because he's always at the farm.  So his face is new to her sight. hehehe.

That's it for now.  There's nothing much about me anyway except these.  Besides, my kids are my joys in life.  Any improvement that I notice on them is already something that I can be proud of.  I'm really blessed with my kids.
