Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.
~+~

01. I was born in our house...and I was born 6 years after my sister because my siblings grew to be kids and our parents wanted a new baby in the house (not the original plan or anything..but I'm fine with it..^_^)

02. The scars below my chin and my arm were caused by a vehicular accident, when our car hit the YBL bus, parking at the center of the road. The break malfunctioned so my father didn't have a choice but to hit the bus, because if he hadn't, it's either we hit the coming vehicles, or fell at the drainage.

03. I love singing...unfortunately, the songs don't like me.

04. I also love dancing. But when I was in grade 5, I got so fat that our teacher felt I couldn't make a turn anymore. So I stopped joining the group since grade 6. In high school, I didn't join the dance troupe because of that. I only danced because there are no other dancers available when the dance troupe was forbidden to participate other than their official "dances".

05. I was able to dance again, and eventually increased my self-esteem, during college, when I joined the Sayawtenista in 2nd Year. Someone was "healthier" than me so I asked myself, "why not?"

06. I tried out in the band when I was in high school. Got accepted, but I didn't return the following meeting. hehehe...

07. Our neighbor courted me when I was in 2nd year high school. It was in the morning when he told me about his feelings. I told him I'll think about it, but at noon, I told him I don't like him. He started stalking, so I seek help from my best friend, accompany me in going home. At times that my best friend was too busy, I'd go the other way just to avoid my suitor.

08. I was an active Girl Scout until Grade 5. I stopped since Grade 6 onwards. I'm guessing it was because of the dancing issue. I lost confidence.

09. I was a medic during PMT. But here's the thing, I became friends with our commandant...and the battalion commander was courting me. hehe

10. My nun aunt (actually my mom's cousin) was encouraging me to be a nun like her (when I was still in elementary). I guess you know what my decision was...hehe

11. I love chicken-pork adobo. It's my fave food. I also love durian...my fave fruit.

12. I love Math and Physics. At 4th year high school, our Physics teacher had this technique. Whoever gets to solve the problem in the board first (or top 5) will have points, to be added at the total quiz score. I always get the additional points... ^_^

13. I'm slightly deaf. I don't think people notice it, but I know. There are times that I can't clearly hear what other people are saying.

14. I really love my kids. It doesn't matter to me if they can't return the same love that I'm giving them. I love them, and that's the most important.

15. I was a top notcher in an exam. During the 2nd screening for Science Curriculum at high school. I didn't even join the 1st screening.

16. I almost won the school's election during 2nd year. Almost because I was running for a position, but my filed candidacy was for another position. It was human error. I think I was running for Governor, but the filed position was Congressman (or was it the other way around...I totally forgot). We checked most of the classrooms and saw that I was actually winning. But because of the confusion, I lost.

17. I was fond of cheating during my high school years. But when I met my husband, I couldn't even look at another one's paper.

18. I didn't plan of becoming a programmer. It just so happen that when I first enrolled in AdDU, I put Computer Science instead of Accountancy. My GPA during high school and my CSAT result passed the requirement so I could be accepted in any course.

19. I'm afraid of rats, cockroaches, and spiders. There was one time in the office, a cockroach was flying around. My officemates were laughing at me because I covered myself with my bandana, and was holding the broom. haha!

20. When I was still in grade school, I didn't join volleyball because I was actually afraid of the ball.

21. The Senior's Night during high school was cut short for me because my father arrived really early. That was why, I went home the earliest. I didn't even get the chance to dance. Now, I'm thinking, if I can turn back time, I'd return to that moment and enjoy the night with my friends.

22. I have a liking to anime, which started during my high school years. Lucky my best friend also loves anime, I had someone to talk to. My fave animes of all time are Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailormoon, and Fushigi Yuugi. But I haven't watch the full Sailormoon. I'm hoping I have a copy of that anime, all saga.

23. I love looking at my husband when he sleeps. Sooooo peaceful. ^_^

24. I also love looking at my kids when they sleep. Soooooooooo cute! Makes me wanna kiss them all the time.

25. I didn't get to enjoy my life to the fullest. I feel like I'm living a very boring life. The most joyfull moment yet was when I was in Cebu. *sigh

Silent Night

A very silent Christmas eve indeed.

This is by far the most silent Christmas eve I've ever experienced. I woke up at around 12:30am today, greeted my husband a Merry Christmas, and went out only to find out that the lights outside our room were off. I was actually hoping to see my younger sister watching the television, since she said earlier that she won't be sleeping. But when I got out of the room, no one's there. I carried my daughter and observed for a minute or two outside our room, then went back inside. I put her back in our bed, then observed from our room if someone's outside. I saw that the lights went on so hurried out again. And there at our terrace, I saw my father, the last person I expected to be awake today. He was just there observing my sister's family lighting up some fireworks. He was worried that the fireworks might torn the roof they worked hard for earlier before they got to bed. Then my sister came to give us the Buko Salad and Spaghetti they prepared for Noche Buena.

Later, after filling up the water in the comfort room, my father went back to sleep. So I was alone again. I washed my son's milk bottles and sterilized them. Then transferred the Buko Salad to a smaller container that can be put in our fridge. I took four plates and four pairs of spoon and fork to the table, in case someone else wakes up. I went inside the room to ask my husband if he would like to eat or just sleep and take a rest (he was complaining about his headache earlier this evening). When he said he'll just take a rest, I went outside again and waited for a moment, hoping (again) that someone will walk out of their room to eat Noche Buena. But nobody came out so I decided to eat alone.

I took a peace of banana cake, a portion of the spaghetti from my sister, and two slices of Liempo, then just a cup of Pepsi. I went to the sala, turned the television on, and sit at the center table. I browsed thru the channels, and finally landing at Star Movies, watching "Titan AE". After finishing my food, I washed my plate and my cup, then went back in front of the television. But after 20 minutes, I turned it off and went back here at our room. I asked my husband if I can surf the Internet...I guess you know his reply.

So here I am now. Instead of having fun with my family, I'm typing this blog. Pretty boring and silent. I guess I should expect this from now on. My family's becoming busier each year to be very tired to even have Noche Buena. Lucky for us last year, my brother went home for my wedding. We had our usual Noche Buena. But this year, nothing. I think it's safe to say, our tradition is now lost. Is this the price we pay for having a successful year (financially, so to speak)?

Updates

*sigh

After weeks of being away from the pc, here I am again. A lot of things happened...and just too many to mention. hehehe...

So to cut the story short (as if there's really a story...haha!), here's a picture of my kids. I took this photo last week, when my son was in the mood to hold his baby sister. Funny thing, when I already took my daughter, he was really angry. He still wanted his sister on his lap. haha!

More pictures at Joemelle's Multiply...^_^
